Southern Oregon Hiking Trails

Below are some links to Oregon hiking trail information. My sister lives in the Bend area of Oregon and my wife and I have hiked several of the trails in the area, as well as Southern Oregon and along the Oregon coast a couple places in Oregon where I used to live. One of our favorite trails was the Todd Lake Trail which took us way up into the Three Sisters Wilderness area. We made it all the way up to the 'Green Lakes' and really enjoyed the experience. We also hiked the McKenzie River trail which was also beautiful.

Mount Thielsen, or Big Cowhorn, is an extinct shield volcano in the Oregon High Cascades, near Mount Bailey. It is located near Diamond Lake and north of Crater Lake National Park, in the Umpqua National Forest. The trail leads through lodgepole pine for the first mile with the timberline at approximately 7200 feet, and inviting glimpses of Mt. Thielsen are evident as one progresses up the trail.
